BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A special City Council meeting was held this week where Dan Diesel was sworn in as Mayor of the City of Titusville and Joe Robinson and Sarah Stoeckel were sworn in as council members.

“It is an incredible honor for me to be the mayor of my home town – of Titusville – a city that I have loved to my core since moving here in 1965 as a 7-year-old space program kid as my Dad was transferred here from St. Louis with McDonald Douglas,” said Diesel.

Also, council member Jo Lynn Nelson was selected to be vice mayor of Titusville.

Diesel, who was previously a councilman and vice mayor, won the mayor’s seat unopposed earlier this year.

Robinson won the city’s seat 3 race against Marc Smith on Nov. 3 with more than 54 percent of the vote.

Stoeckel retained seat 2 by defeating Christopher Childs with more than 67 percent of the vote.
