Shooting Interrupts Funeral Service for Sincere Pierce, Died During Deputy-Involved Shooting Nov. 13

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred earlier Saturday during a funeral service at Riverview Memorial Gardens in unincorporated Cocoa.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred earlier Saturday during a funeral service at Riverview Memorial Gardens in unincorporated Cocoa.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, initial reports say that a male and female received non-life-threatening injuries when the shots were fired during the funeral service for Sincere Pierce, 18, who was killed during a deputy-involved shooting on November 13.

The identities of the victims are not being released at this time.

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Agents and Crime Scene Investigators are conducting the active and ongoing investigation.

A BCSO spokesperson said there is no confirmed information concerning the suspects at this time.
