Man Dead, Woman in Critical Condition After Early Morning Shooting in Titusville

Titusville police detectives are investigating the shooting death of a local man and the critical injury of a local woman. According to TPD Public Information Officer Amy Matthew, on Wednesday, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Titusville police officers responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of South Grannis Avenue and Tropic Street.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville police detectives are investigating the shooting death of a local man and the critical injury of a local woman.

According to Titusville Police Public Information Officer Amy Matthew, on Wednesday, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Titusville police officers responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of South Grannis Avenue and Tropic Street.

“Officers secured the crime scene and located the adult male victim lying on the sidewalk deceased with an apparent gunshot wound,” said Matthews.

“An adult female victim was found close by and transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries due to an apparent gunshot wound.”

The preliminary investigation revealed the victims were shot by the suspects, who fled the scene immediately after the incident.

The victims have not yet been identified by police.

Matthew said the suspects are still at large as detectives are working all leads, and the initial evidence indicates the victims were specifically targeted by the suspects, and this was not a random act of violence.
