Eastern Florida State Volleyball Team Battles No. 1-Ranked Miami Dade, Loses in Four Sets

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s volleyball team lost a Southern Conference match at No. 1-ranked Miami Dade Thursday night.

The Titans battled the No. 1 team in the NJCAA Division I poll, losing the first set 25-20. But the Titans came back to take the second set 25-19 to tie the match. It was just the fourth time this season the Sharks have lost a set.

But Miami Dade would win the next two sets 25-15, 25-18 to improve to 14-0 on the season.

The Titans fell to 5-6 overall and 2-4 in the Southern Conference. They will host Indian River State College in a key conference match Tuesday night at 6 p.m.

Titan Field House is open to the first 75 fans and masks are required at all times on campus and fans are asked to socially distance when possible.
