Florida Tech Panther Women’s Lacrosse Officially Reveal 2021 Regular Season Schedule

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Women’s lacrosse head coach McKenzie Rafferty has announced Florida Tech’s schedule for the 2021 season.
This year’s slate features 10 games, all against Sunshine State Conference opponents, with five home games being played at Panther Stadium.
Tech enters the 2021 season ranked No. 18 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Preseason Top 20 and No. 20 in the IWLCA Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Crimson & Gray open the campaign with straight road games at No. 8/12 Florida Southern on March 20 and Lynn on March 24. Tech’s first home game is March 27 against No. 19 Saint Leo.
The Panthers will play consecutive games against top-10 opponents in No. 7 Rollins on the road on March 31 and No. 9 Tampa at home on April 3. Florida Tech then travels for contests against Saint Leo on April 7 and Palm Beach Atlantic on April 14.
Tech closes out the regular season slate with three straight home games, facing Florida Southern on April 17, Rollins on April 21 and finishing up the schedule on May 2 with its senior day game against Lynn.
With the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, and staff in mind, there will be no fans permitted at Florida Tech women’s lacrosse home games at this time.

Rafferty, who enters her third season at the helm of the women’s lacrosse program, guided Tech to a 6-2 record in the 2020 season before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rafferty is 13-11 over her first two seasons in Melbourne.
The Panthers return 10 starters, including a pair of 2020 All-Americans in Mollie Kaplan and Alexis Townsend, as well as 82 percent of the points production from the 2020 team.
