Eastern Florida State Men’s Basketball Clinches Regular-Season Conference Championship

Titans defeated Hillsborough Community College 62-55

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team cut down the nets Saturday evening at Titan Field House.

The Titans defeated Hillsborough Community College 62-55 to capture the Central Conference regular-season championship. It is the ninth regular-season title for head coach Jeremy Shulman.

With the win, the Titans also punched their ticket to the FCSAA State Tournament in Niceville beginning April 7.

Eastern Florida State College led 34-28 at halftime and while Hillsborough kept things close, the Titans picked up their 15th win of the season and are 13-2 in the conference.

“There is no team more deserving of a championship than this team I have right here!!” Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said.

“It’s been an incredibly difficult year in so many ways, but this group is so connected. This is an absolutely special group of guys – and this championship will go down in history as one of the most special ever at Eastern Florida.”

It is the first Central Conference title for the Titans.

Eastern Florida State College will wrap up the conference season Monday against the Florida State College at Jacksonville. Tip-off will be at 7:30 p.m. at Titan Field House.
