Motorcyclist, 29, Dies After Crashing Into Vehicle in Titusville on Sunday

Titusville Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle Sunday afternoon near the intersection of South Street and Rock Pit Road.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle Sunday afternoon near the intersection of South Street and Rock Pit Road.

Officials say the motorcyclist, identified as 29-year-old Brandon Tyrell Hightower from Titusville, died Sunday around 1:30 p.m.

According to the preliminary investigation, police say that Asia Mariah Mayoros, 25, of Titusville, was driving a 2018 Nissan Versa when she failed to yield at a stop sign while attempting to turn from Rock Pit Road to travel east on South Street. Hightower, who was riding a 2008 Honda motorcycle, traveling westbound on South Street, then struck the driver side of Mayoros’ car.

Hightower was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mayoros and her child passenger were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department.
