Carrie Sue Gehrlein Pointek, 62, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, left this world prematurely on Thursday, February 18, 2021.

Carrie was a beautiful woman. Intelligent, charitable, and creative. Most remembered aside from her fearlessness is her enormous heart, especially for people in need.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Carrie Sue Gehrlein Pointek, 62, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, left this world prematurely on Thursday, February 18, 2021.

Born on August 4, 1958, to Joyce Elaine (Huston) Hammill and Larry James Gehrlein, of Erie, PA, Carrie was an avid traveler with an adventurous spirit and a heart full of love.

She graduated with Honors from Academy High School. Having earned a Master Plumber License, she was a successful business owner, a restaurateur, a Girl Scout Cadet, and Girl Scout Leader.

She often volunteered at the VFW Post 10148. Carrie enjoyed cooking for others, as well as collecting teapots and plates.

Carrie was a beautiful woman. Intelligent, charitable, and creative. Most remembered aside from her fearlessness is her enormous heart, especially for people in need.

Carrie is survived by her daughters, Shelley Doyle Kuczkir and Teaka Pointek DiMaggio; her grandson, Owen Matthew Kuczkir; her brother Martin Ray Gehrlein; her sisters, Kris Elaine Muthler, and Traci Lynne Peters; numerous loving nieces and nephews; and her fur baby, Beaner.

All are invited to attend Carrie’s Celebration of Life at the South Beach Inn in Cocoa Beach, Florida on March 13 at 3 p.m. Please park in the public beach lots, as hotel parking is reserved for overnight guests.
