(24/7Sports.com) – The strain in his face said it all. Jashaun Corbin, with more than 500 pounds stacked over his shoulders, gritted his teeth and did exactly what he’s done all offseason.

He got the job done, pushing himself to be just a little better while teammates watched with admiration.

Corbin’s strong lift during Florida State’s recent Squat Party capped off what sounds like a remarkably stellar showing during the winter conditioning program.

The redshirt sophomore running back has drawn praise from coaches and teammates alike for the way he’s stepped up in several ways to become a leader for this program.

“[He’s] focused and dedicated to his work and that’s what you need for a good program: leaders to lead and do the right thing,” said linebacker Amari Gainer.
