BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Titusville police officers arrested 47-year-old Essie Evans and Gabrielle Brantley, 23, both of Titusville, on Tuesday and both were charged with the Sale of Fentanyl and Possession of Fentanyl.

According to the Titusville Police Department, the TPD Special Investigation Division executed a search warrant on Tuesday with the assistance of multiple Brevard County and Federal law enforcement agencies at a residence on the 1000 block of Pine Valley Lane that resulted in a large seizure of the deadly drug Fentanyl.

According to police, during the investigation evidence revealed Evans, who has a long criminal drug history and out of jail on bond for previous felony drug charges, was running a drug trafficking enterprise from his residence.

Subsequently, a search warrant was issued for the house.

The warrant was executed by the Titusville Police Department SWAT team. As a result of the search, detectives and crime scene personnel seized more than 19 grams of Fentanyl, a highly potent and lethal opioid that is often the main contributor in overdose deaths.

“We remain committed to targeting and stopping anyone who is engaged in the selling of deadly narcotics in the City of Titusville”, said Special Investigations Sgt. Troy Barbour.

“This agency initiative remains a top priority to stop the sale of Fentanyl and save lives.”

Detectives estimate the street value of the seizure to be approximately $20,000.

Evans and Brantley were taken into custody without incident at the residence and booked into the Brevard County Jail.
