BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools is scheduled to host the ‘Kindergarten Kickoff’ March 29-April 2 for those families looking to register their child up for kindergarten for the upcoming school year.

Children entering kindergarten for the first time must comply with Florida Law when it comes to the child’s age, which says a child must be five-years-old on or before September 1 to qualify for kindergarten.

All children who will be six-years-old by February 1 of the school year must attend school regularly during the entire school year term.

When families sign their child up, here are some items that required during registration:

– Original birth certificate or acceptable/evident documentation
– Compulsory immunization records
– Current physical exam
– Two forms of residence registration

Children entering kindergarten this upcoming school year will be the future graduating class of 2034.
