WATCH: The City of Palm Bay is now accepting applications for non-certified police recruits to be sponsored to attend the police academy.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The City of Palm Bay is now accepting applications for non-certified police recruits to be sponsored to attend the police academy.

The Police Officer Academy Recruit sponsorship salary is set at $32,778 for a non-certified recruit while attending the academy.

Once the recruit successfully completes the academy and passes the State Exam, the salary is increased to a full-time certified officer rate of $41,525 annually.
