Eastern Florida State Women’s Soccer Team Ranked No. 2 in NJCAA Division I Preseason Poll

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team is ranked No. 2 in the NJCAA Division I preseason poll released this week.

The Titans, who have been in the national tournament semifinals the past three seasons, are ranked behind defending champion Tyler Junior College in the poll.

Eastern Florida State College will hold two scrimmages this week at Orlando Health Stadium, Thursday against Space Coast United at 6 p.m. and then Saturday against Montverde Academy at 6 p.m.

The Titans will open the regular season on April 9 on the road, playing at Southwestern Illinois College, and then plays No. 3 Lewis & Clark Community College Sunday, April 11.

The women’s soccer team will be at Orlando Health Stadium for the first time on Wednesday, April 21 against Daytona State College, which is ranked 14th in the preseason poll, at 6 p.m.

Five players are returning from last season’s team that went 16-1, including Paula Garrido who scored 11 goals and four assists while Julieta Limardo had nine goals and five assists in her freshman season.
