Rockledge Raiders Baseball Team Defeats Hernando 1-0 in Region Quarterfinal, Hartman Throws Complete Game

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The Rockledge Raiders baseball squad defeated Hernando Leopards 1-0 on Friday in the region quarterfinal.

The lone run of the game was scored in the first inning when Julian Balzer tripled and scored on an Aaron Saltsman grounder.

Rockledge senior Karl Hartman pitched a complete game for the Raiders striking out 11 batters, walking one, and allowing only three hits.

Balzar, a UCF commit, finished the game going 2-for-3 at the plate.

Rockledge (24-2) will play Nature Coast Tech next week in a region semifinal game.

Hernando Leopards finish the season with an overall record of 22-4.
