BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – Satellite Beach Resource Officer Matt Bennett organized a “Bike to School Day” event at Surfside Elementary.

The Satellite Beach Fire Department also joined in the fun to help promote the benefits of safely biking to school.

“A huge shout out to Office Matt Bennett for organizing an amazing Bike to School Day,” said Surfside Principal Kassie Erenstoft.

“He was able to organizing support from various community organizations to provide our students with prizes. Thank you to Satellite Beach Fire Department for coming out and joining us. They brought the fire truck and spent the morning welcoming kids to campus.

“We would also like to give a huge shout out to Satellite Beach Police Department, Long Doggers, McDonalds, Wicked Pineapple, M.T.B. Surf & Skate Emporium and Longboard House. They provided our kids with helmets, coupons, pencils and stickers. It was a great morning and we are so thankful for the partnerships we have with our community groups and businesses.”
