BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools released a statement on Friday in response to a press conference on Friday by Rep. Randy Fine and Moms for Liberty that showed email exchanges and documents exchanged that questioned the training of BPS employees.

“Brevard Public Schools has more than 9,000 dedicated employees and educators whose mission is to serve every child with integrity and excellence.

We reject the Representative’s claims and vehemently deny the claims that are being made about our curriculum.

Brevard Public Schools does not teach Critical Race Theory, we use only state-approved textbooks and adhere to all state standards of education.

The materials the representative and the third party that participated in this press conference appear to be questioning are professional development training materials meant to consider various life perspectives.

This diversity-focused training was not tied to any student curriculum. We welcome the opportunity to meet with any member of our local delegation or parent to discuss our curriculum and education-focused mission and how we are all working together for the future of our students.”
