Eastern Florida State College Battles Laramie County Community College For Trip to NJCAA Division I National Tournament Semifinals

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team will play for a spot in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament semifinals at 5 p.m. Saturday in Evans, Georgia.

The Titans will play Laramie County Community College who defeated Kansas City Kansas Community College 3-0 on Friday evening. With both teams 1-0 in Pool C, the winner will advance to Monday’s semifinals at Blanchard Woods Park.

Eastern Florida State College are coming off their best offensive game of the season, scoring nine times as Paula Garrido scored three times while Courtney Jade Butlion and Lydia Carroll each had two goals in the win.

Laramie County CC comes into the contest 14-1 and is the Northwest Plains champion. Laramie County CC is led by Lauren Amerena who has 12 goals this season.

It will be the fourth meeting between the two schools in the national tournament with the Titans holding a 2-1 series lead.

Fans can attend games for $10 per day or $50 for the entire tournament. EFSC games will be played at the stadium field. The park will also be hosting the Division II National Championship Tournament next week.
