Melbourne has set a new daily rainfall record with 2.19″ (so far) as of 9:15 p.m., breaking the old record of 2.08″ from 1979.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne has set a new daily rainfall record with 2.19″ (so far) as of 9:15 p.m., breaking the old record of 2.08″ from 1979, according to the National Weather Service.

Tomorrow’s weather forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high of 90-degrees and 50-percent chance of thunderstorms throughout the day on Tuesday.

There is at least a 40-percent chance of rain everyday of the week until Friday when no rain is expected and the heat index is could reach as high as 94-degrees with partly cloudy skies.
