Weather Conditions 60-Percent Favorable for SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket Launch from Cape Canaveral on Thursday

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The 45th Weather Squadron has released their weather report for Thursday’s SpaceX rocket launch from Cape Canaveral.

The weather conditions show a 60-percent favorability for launch with the greatest threats being heavy cloud cover and Surface Electric Fields Rule.

Launch window opens at 12:09 p.m. ET and will close at 12:24 p.m. ET.

The rocket will launch U.S. Space Force’s fifth third-generation navigation satellite for the Global Positioning System.

The satellite was built by Lockheed Martin

Following first-stage separation, SpaceX will attempt to recover the booster engine on drone ‘Of Course, I Still Love You’ stationed in the Atlantic ocean.
