Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Conducts Death Investigation of 73-Year-Old Man at Playalinda Beach

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the death of a 73-year-old Brevard County resident that occurred earlier today at Playalinda Beach.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the death of a 73-year-old Brevard County resident that occurred earlier today at Playalinda Beach.

According to witnesses, the man was standing in the surf when he disappeared underwater without resurfacing.

The man was pulled from the water unresponsive and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Agents from the Homicide and Crime Scene Units are currently in the process of conducting interviews and collecting evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.

The man will be taken to the Brevard County Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be conducted.
