Cocoa Tigers Basketball Standout Shakara Robertson Commits to Des Moines Area Community College

Robertson, who played two seasons for Rockledge High School before attending Cocoa High School, concluded her career with 1,204 points, 269 steals, and 253 assists.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Tigers basketball standout Shakara Robertson committed to Des Moines Area Community College. The 5-foot-7 combo guard was a four-year starter during her high school basketball career for the Tigers.

Robertson is the seventh commitment to the DMACC women’s basketball program for the 2021-22 school year.

As a senior, she averaged 13.8 points, two steals, and 1.6 assists a game for the Tigers, including a season-high 22 points against Astronaut High School.

Robertson, who played two seasons for Rockledge High School before attending Cocoa High School, concluded her career with 1,204 points, 269 steals, and 253 assists.

She was named to the Cape Coast Conference first all-conference team and was the Cocoa High School girls’ basketball most valuable player in 2020-21. Robertson is an honors graduate and a member of the National Honor Society.

“We are very excited to sign Shakara to continue her education and basketball career at DMACC,” DMACC women’s basketball coach Steve Krafcisin said.

“Shakara is a multi-dimensional player who loves to compete. She is very proud of her defense and her intensity.”
