Florida Tech Returns to In-Person Commencement with Summer Ceremony July 31

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Hundreds of Florida Tech students will cross the stage at the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center on Saturday, July 31.

As Florida Tech convenes its summer commencement, the university’s first in-person commencement since December 2019.

The university is set to confer 702 degrees, with 447 students planning to participate in the 9:30 a.m. ceremony. Graduates will include 216 students from Florida Tech Online and 85 from the university’s education centers.

The graduating class features students from 35 countries and 37 U.S. states.

The university is holding its commencement in keeping with the latest health guidance from local, state, and national authorities. Each graduate will be permitted to bring two guests, and the in-person ceremony will be video streamed.

Florida Tech President Dwayne McCay will offer remarks at the ceremony.
