BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Maddie, a juvenile green sea turtle was found stranded near Haulover Bridge in Mims. Upon intake, Maddie had fibropapillomatosis, many necrotic lesions on the underside of their body, leeches, and a very strange puncture wound on their carapace.

Maddie was admitted into the Brevard Zoo on July 5.
