Melbourne Police Special Investigations Unit Agents Arrest Two Who Attempted to Solicit Sex for Cash

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department Special Investigations Unit conducted a proactive enforcement operation on Thursday targeting street-level prostitution throughout the City of Melbourne and made two arrests.

According to Melbourne Police Lieutenant Scott Mostert, MPD SIU agents charged Sherell Henry, 29, and Jessica Peredetto, 34, with prostitution.

“During this operation, detectives were utilized in an undercover capacity, posing as a person who engages in prostitution, commonly referred to as a ‘John,'” said Lt. Mostert.

“In total, two females were arrested for attempting to solicit sex in exchange for cash from an undercover detective. One arrest was made in the area of the University Boulevard corridor and the second arrest was made in the area of Post Road in north Melbourne.”

Lt. Mostert said both women were attempting to solicit sex in exchange for cash from an undercover detective.
