On May 14, 2021, Dennis L. Abraham, a retired bankruptcy attorney in Melbourne, Florida, passed away with his Wife, Cheryl and daughter, Aurora, at his side after complications during treatment for a rare disease.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – On May 14, 2021, Dennis L. Abraham, a retired bankruptcy attorney in Melbourne, Florida, passed away with his Wife, Cheryl and daughter, Aurora, at his side after complications during treatment for a rare disease.

Dennis, born September 20, 1948 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is survived by his wife, Cheryl L. Abraham, their daughter, Aurora Rae Abraham, now a junior at Central Michigan University, Dennis’s sister, Judy Standley, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Suzanne Kaynor, daughter in Detroit, Michigan, and Troy E. Abraham, son in Orlando, Florida, Breanna Ratering, granddaughter in California, and Pat Standley, Mike Standley, Andy Standley, nephews in Lansing, Michigan.

In 1986, Dennis obtained his J.D. from Cooley Law School, Lansing, Michigan. In 1988, Dennis became a prosecutor for the State Attorney’s Office, Brevard County, Florida.

In 1992, Dennis opened his private law practice and in 1999, Dennis joined firms with his Wife, Cheryl L. Abraham (formerly Denaburg) as Abraham & Abraham, P.A.

As husband and wife & law partners, Dennis practiced bankruptcy law through his retirement during 2019, where he helped thousands of people through financially difficult times.

Dennis enjoyed long distance bicycle rides, camping, remodeling, and the building of a log cabin. Dennis will be forever missed by his family. Donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, Massachusetts.
