As a mark of respect for the U.S. service members and other victims killed in the terrorist attack on August 26, 2021, in Kabul, Afghanistan, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. directed all flags to be lowered to half-staff.

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – As a mark of respect for the U.S. service members and other victims killed in the terrorist attack on August 26, 2021, in Kabul, Afghanistan, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. directed all flags to be lowered to half-staff.

Pursuant to this direction, I hereby direct the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff immediately until sunset on Monday, August 30, 2021.
