Military Officers Association of America Cape Canaveral Chapter Awards $50,000 in Scholarships to 10 Students

The Military Officers Association of America Cape Canaveral Chapter awarded $50,000 in total scholarships to 10 outstanding students. The scholarship recipients and their respective schools include Sean Alcorn, Merchant Marine Academy; Alexandra Baysinger, Florida State University; Isabella Bordner, University of Central Florida; Mary Fentress, Florida State University; Austin Hayes, University of Florida; Samantha Oates, Syracuse University; Thomas Reilly, University of Central Florida; Spencer Smith, University of Florida; Mason Yaskovic, Florida Institute of Technology and  Deborah Yelle, Florida Southern College (MOAACC image)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Military Officers Association of America Cape Canaveral Chapter (MOAACC) recently awarded $50,000 in total scholarships to 10 outstanding students.

All of the winners have demonstrated a combination of leadership, scholastic aptitude and community involvement.

Following a year of pandemic-reduced internship and work opportunities, the scholarship awards will aid these students by allowing them to further focus on their studies and extracurricular activities.

The student’s areas of study include Transportation, Education, 3-D Character Animation, Human Resources, several Engineering disciplines, Supply Chain Management, and Graphic Design.

In addition, one winner will be commissioned in the Air Force in FY22.
