Eastern Florida State Honors Employees with STARS Award For Exemplary Performance During Past Academic Year

STARS Award stands for Superlative, Teamwork, Attitude, Responsibility and Service

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Six employees have been honored for their exemplary performance at Eastern Florida State College during the past academic year.

The employees received the STARS Award, which stands for Superlative, Teamwork, Attitude, Responsibility and Service.

The 2021 STARS Award winners include Cindy Anderson, Eric Newlin, Lisa Creatura, Karen England, Sonal Patel and Mike Youngblood.

Eastern Florida State College President Dr. Jim Richey praised the employees, saying that during a year marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, their efforts reflected the dedication of EFSC’s entire staff.

The winners are:

■ Cindy Anderson, Controller
■ Eric Newlin, Programmer & Systems Analyst
■ Lisa Creatura, Administrative Support Assistant
■ Karen England, Administrative Support Assistant
■ Sonal Patel, IT Technical Support Specialist
■ Mike Youngblood, HVAC Specialist
