TROPICAL STORM ODETTE? Potential Tropical Depression Develops in East Atlantic Ocean Off African Coast

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center is currently monitoring a potential tropical depression developing off the Cabo Verde Islands on Tuesday.
The tropical wave is accompanied by a well-defined low pressure system, which is located about 400 miles southeast of the southern Cabo Verde Islands.
The system continues to show signs of organization, and environmental conditions are conducive for a tropical depression to form during the next couple of days while system moves generally westward at about 15 mph across the eastern tropical Atlantic Ocean.
National Hurricane Center is forecasting the system a 70-percent chance of developing into a tropical depression over the next two days and 90-percent in the next five days.
The next named Atlantic named storm will be Odette.
