BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College softball team has released its 2019 schedule and will open the new season at the JUCO Kickoff Jan. 25-27.

The season-opening tournament will once again feature most of the teams in the Southern Conference and will be played at the Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex in Clearwater.

The Titans will have six road games before the home opener on Feb. 12 against Daytona State College. The doubleheader will begin at 4 p.m.

Overall the Titans will be home for 13 dates this season, 12 of them being doubleheaders. Eastern Florida State College will open the Southern Conference schedule Jan. 16 in the conference round robin at Palm Beach State College, playing all four Southern Conference teams in the two-day tournament.

The conference opener will be March 23 against Miami Dade at Titan Softball Complex with the doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.

“One of our team expectations this year is to earn not only recognition in the state of Florida, but on a national level as well,” Eastern Florida State College softball coach Jim Beitia said. “Our 2019 schedule reflects that expectation by having scheduled multiple games versus Top 25 teams. Our team will be prepared and ready to play state and nationally-ranked teams.”

The Titans finished second in the conference standings last season with 12 wins and will host the defending champion Indian River State College March 27.
