Vacuum Truck Strikes Sign Board Truck In Melbourne, Driver Seriously Injured

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police responded to a crash Thursday involving vacuum truck and a sign board truck at the intersection Wickham Rd. and Post Rd.
As a result from the crash, the vacuum truck driver sustained serious injuries after he was pinned inside the vehicle and needed to be extricated from the truck.
The driver of the truck has been identified as 27-year-old Cyle Douglas Clawson from Palm Bay.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that the vacuum truck driver, Clawson, struck the rear of the sign board truck.
The crash is still under investigation. Police say drugs and alcohol did not play factor in the crash.
