COLLEGE HOOPS: Eastern Florida State College Men’s Basketball Team Defeats 67-58 Santa Fe on the Road

Titans improved to 16-6 overall and 2-2 in the conference with the win

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –  The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team picked up a road win on Saturday, defeating Santa Fe in a Mid-Florida Conference matchup.

The Titans improved to 16-6 overall and 2-2 in the conference with the win. Down one late in the first half, Eastern Florida State College finished the half on a 12-4 run to head to the locker room up 37-30.

Santa Fe went on a 16-5 run to cut the lead to three points with under three minutes remaining but a Junior Madut dunk and two free throws by Jalen Warren pushed the lead back to seven.

Ilija Stefanovic had a strong game for the Titans, finishing with 13 points and eight rebounds while Madut led the Titans with 16 points and Warren finished with 12 points. Freshman Jonathan Ned finished with 10 points.

Ivan Smith led Santa Fe with 18 points.

The Titans will travel to the College of Central Florida next Wednesday for a key conference game at 7 p.m. Eastern Florida State College will be back at Titan Field House Wednesday, Jan. 30 against the Florida State College at Jacksonville.
