SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Space Coast Daily’s Gina Liberto takes you on a tour of the Space Coast Food Festival, which was a big hit at Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal 1 Saturday that featured the 34th annual Chowder Cook-Off with a Twist. The annual event is hosted by the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau.
BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Space Coast area restaurants and hospitality businesses took home bragging rights Saturday night during the Space Coast Food Festival, featuring the 34th Chowder Cook-Off with a Twist, held at Cruise Terminal 1 at Port Canaveral.
The event was hosted by the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau.
This long-running annual event featured the area’s best chefs and restaurants competing for the “Best Chowder” and the “Best Twist” on the Space Coast. The “Twist” was another food item that the restaurant chose to showcase.

Judges’ Choice Chowder:
1st Place – Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront – Lobster Chowder Bisque
2nd Place – Grills Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar – New England Clam Chowder
3rd Place – Rising Tide tap & table – Chowda
Judges’ Choice Twist:
1st Place – Grills Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar – Tahitian Tuna Poke
2nd Place – Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront – Pork Belly & Pistachio Foam in Chocolate
3rd Place – Rising Tide tap & table – Tequila Ceviche
People’s Choice Chowder:
1st Place – Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
2nd Place – Grills Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar

Live entertainment was provided by Rocket City, and in addition to sampling the area’s best food, participants took their chances on incredible packages in the chance auction.
Fish Lips Waterfront Bar & Grill sponsored the bar service which included the Land Shark Beer Garden by Carroll Distributing and featured sampling from local breweries Hell-N-Blazes Brewing Company, Florida Brewing Company and Intracoastal Brewing Company.
