SpaceX First Stage Booster Returns To Port Canaveral On Drone Ship ‘Of Course I Still Love You’

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket stage 1 booster engine returned to Port Canaveral on Tuesday as onlookers gathered and snapped photos at Malcolm E. McLouth Fishing Pier in Jetty Park.
The Falcon 9’s first stage lofted the Crew Dragon spacecraft into orbit early Saturday from Kennedy Space Center where it later landed on the drone ship ‘Of Course I Still Love You’ in the Atlantic Ocean.
After making 18 orbits of Earth since its launch, the Crew Dragon spacecraft successfully attached to the International Space Station’s Harmony module forward port via “soft capture” at 5:51 a.m. EST on Sunday, March 3.
The mission, called Demo-1, is the first flight test of a space system designed for humans built and operated by a commercial company through a public-private partnership.
