Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Port St. John woman on Friday in the air rifle shooting that killed a man last week on Lindsay Ave.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Port St. John woman on Friday in the air rifle shooting that killed a man last week on Lindsay Ave.

Deputies arrested 37-year-old Brandi George and charged her with Manslaughter.

The investigation began on Thursday (March 14) when deputies received a call about a man who was having difficulty breathing at a home on Lindsay Ave. in Port St. John.

When deputies arrived at the scene, paramedics were treating the victim and transported him to the hospital where he later died.

The Medical Examiner determined that the man was shot with an air rifle and it was the projectile fired from the gun that caused the man’s death.

Deputies at the scene found that Ms. George and the male were having an argument at the house when she retrieved the air rifle from one of the bedrooms and shot the victim.

The investigation also found Ms. George tried to hide narcotics in the house prior to the arrival by authorities.

However, deputies were able to locate 16.5 grams of Meth in the house and have also charged her with Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver.

According to Tod Goodyear of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, the identity of the victim is not being released at the request of the victim’s family.

Ms. George is currently at the Brevard County Jail with a $157,000 bond.
