BREVARD COUNTY • MERITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – The Kiwanis Island Park Boat Ramp, located at 951 Kiwanis Island Park Road on Merritt Island, will re-open on Friday, June 7.

After extensive damage from Hurricane Irma, the boat ramp and dock were closed on Monday, April 29, for repairs to the dock after extensive damage from Hurricane Irma.

This beautiful 18.38-acre community river park is situated in a wildlife sanctuary. The park caters to both active and passive recreational enthusiasts.

The boat ramp and a natural launch area provide access for boaters, rowers and paddlers into Sykes Creek leading to the Barge Canal or Banana River.
