Veronica “Ronnie” Fitzgerald McCann, Passed Into Eternal Rest

OBITUARY
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA — Veronica “Ronnie” Fitzgerald McCann, 89, of Cocoa Beach, passed into eternal rest on May 5, 2012, in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
Ronnie was born on January 11, 1923, in Brooklyn, New York.
She attended Mary Louis Academy and was employed as a stenographer at the Federal Bureau of Investigation in New York City, where she met her husband, Pat McCann. They were married in 1949 and moved from New York to Miami, Florida in 1960, relocating to Cocoa Beach in 1984.
She was a devout Catholic and a member of the Church of Our Saviour in Cocoa Beach, where she was active in their ministries.
In addition to her husband, Ronnie is survived by six children, Ronnie (Brad) Robinson, Colleen (Doug) Kettles, Mary Beth (Jon Anderson) McCann, Patrick (Jill) McCann, John McCann, Kathleen (Freddie) James; 13 grandchildren, Mary (Jeff) Meador, Jerry (Tomoko) Bristow, Amy (Vince) Nadder, Joey (Karen) Bristow, Carrie (Erik) Wyatt, Erin (Max) Moya, Meghan Kettles, Patrick McCann, Kevin McCann, Michael McCann, Kirsten McCann, Morgan McCann, Connor James; and, 10 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Andrew, Tyler, Sophia, Vincent, Nicholas, Brooke, Hannah, Baylie, Donovan; her sister-in-law, Maureen McCann; and, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alice, Mary and Kathleen; brother, Tom; and beloved grandson, Matthew.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 101 N. Brevard Ave. in Cocoa Beach, Florida, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., at Church of Our Saviour, 5301 N. Atlantic Avenue, in Cocoa Beach.
Donations may be made in her memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society (Church of Our Saviour in Cocoa Beach) or Birthright of Cocoa Beach.
