BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA –  Astrotech Corporation, a leading provider of commercial aerospace services, has announced its Astrotech Space Operations subsidiary has secured a $1.1 million purchase order to supply hypergolic propellants support to a spacecraft manufacturer.

ASO will provide propellant delivery and export-related services from its headquarters in Titusville.

Business growth

“Our propellants-related services are integral to our core business, and we continue to see growth in this area,” stated Don M. White Jr., Astrotech Space Operations General Manager. “Astrotech not only provides individual services such as propellant procurement, sampling and logistics support to our customers, but also full-service, turnkey spacecraft propellant loading operations.”

He said that by serving a wide range of spacecraft customers at U.S. locations and abroad, ASO’s experienced propellants team offers the unique advantage of knowledgeable, customized fueling support.

Support for customers

Astrotech Space Operations offers  support necessary for government and commercial customers to successfully process their satellite hardware for launch, including advance planning; use of unique facilities; and spacecraft checkout, encapsulation, fueling and transport.

The company also has demonstrated expertise in design and fabrication of spacecraft processing facilities and ground support equipment.

In its 30 year history, ASO has successfully supported the processing of nearly 300 spacecraft.

The Astrotech Space Operations business unit serves satellite and spacecraft customers with pre-launch services at Kennedy Space Center and Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
