BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – When the top collegiate golf programs are discussed, Brevard Community College certainly deserves a mention.

The Titans are perennial contenders for a national title under Coach Jamie Howell and this year’s team expects to be right in the mix to make a national championship run once more.

Last season BCC made its 10th consecutive trip to the National Junior College (NJCAA) national tournament in the last 10 years and Howell is confident an 11th straight tournament appearance is within reach.

BCC returns three sophomores in Blake Biggs, Anthony Skirk and Keith Greene from the 2011 team that finished eighth in the national tournament and welcomes eight freshmen including Nelson Apsey, Kyle Benson, Tyler Howes, Arthur Leonard, Brett Maue, Nicholas Maynard, Garrett Melita and Max Menkes.

We sat down with Coach Howell at the recent BCC Fall Sports Media Day and asked him what he is looking for from this year’s team.
