Florida’s Second-Stage Growth Companies Shine

Attend the Awards Gala Event honoring the 2012 Florida Companies to Watch onOctober 19, 2012 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort.

About the Program
Florida Companies to Watch recognition program focuses on celebrating the successes of Florida’s entrepreneurs. On October 19, 2012, a new set of Florida’s growth companies will be recognized as part of the Florida Companies to Watch awards program.  The Melbourne Regional Chamber is a community partner of this program and has encouraged successful local second-stage companies to represent Brevard County in this statewide initiative. The companies selected each year make an astounding impact on Florida’s economy by collectively providing thousands of jobs and contributing millions of dollars in revenue. In short, they tell a compelling story about the state’s diverse economic landscape. Locally, these companies employ our family and friends – and their efforts are worthy of our support and celebration.

As Edward Lowe would say each time he walked into a room with an entrepreneur, “Hail, Entrepreneur.” We celebrate you, second-stage entrepreneurs, and your contributions to our communities. What may seem impossible, we know can be overcome. We live in a place where one individual can make a difference. Entrepreneurs are those unique individuals that change the way we think about what is possible. They have a clear vision for how life can be better for all of us, even when times are tough.

  1. Entrepreneurs are the backbone of the economy bringing growth, innovation, and employment to many. Awards programs focusing on entrepreneurs are a great way to highlight that not everyone has to work for a large company in order to be successful.
