The free concert is at 625 Hibiscus Boulevard and will showcase the musical styles represented at each of the upcoming performance pairings from now until June 20th, 2013.

Conducted by Aaron Collins, the non-profit “Orchestra in Residence” for the City of Melbourne will present a “sampler” program with descriptive music headings like classics, jazz, family, American, pops and Rodgers & Hammerstein.

Concert goers will enjoy a musical buffet that includes works by Rimsky Korsakov, Richard Wagner, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Richard Rodgers.

Melbourne Community Orchestra president Steve Schwartz urges an early turnout for the best seating.

“Our free concerts fill up quickly,” Schwartz said.  “And this first concert of the season will have something for everyone who loves orchestral music.”
