May Be Tied To Other Burglaries

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Detectives in Palm Bay are seeking to identify a suspect captured on video smashing the front door of a local business and stealing items from inside.

Palm Bay Police Department spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez said the crime occurred at the A&V Beverage store at 2200 Port Malabar Blvd.

She said the store’s surveillance camera captured images of the suspect as he paced outside the store.

The video shows the suspect grabbing an unknown object which he used to smash the front door.

“Once the door was smashed the suspect pulled the glass from the door frame and reached in to try and unlock the door but was unsuccessful,” Martinez said.  “The suspect then reached in and grabbed several items including cigarettes and an RC Cola.”

The suspect in the video appears to be a white or Hispanic male in his 20s or 30, wearing a light short sleeve shirt, ball cap, and shorts.

Martinez said there have been at least two other similar burglaries in the same area.
