Promise in Brevard was named one of the Top 196 organizations in the national Chase Community Giving Fall 2012 program, winning $10,000 for its programs.
This wouldn’t have happened without the help of Florida Tech Professor, Dr. Andrew Cudmore’s Introduction to Marketing class students.
The marketing class students set up voting stations for four days throughout the campus. They also reached out via the Internet to friends and family back home and in their fraternal organizations around the country. We received votes from all over the world, Iceland, Pakistan, Scotland, Trinidad and from Ohio State, Rutgers, Penn State, University of West Indies and Temple University, to name a few!
What began as a class project turned into much more. The students’ passion toward making a difference was truly heartwarming. Listening to them tell the “Promise story” over and over was amazing.
