BCC Titans Edge Illinois Central In Women’s Soccer

Squad Wins Seventh Straight Game

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard Community College women’s soccer team improved to 9-1 on the season Thursday night with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Illinois Central College in a game played on the campus of Polk State Community College on Thursday.

The win was BCC’s 7th in a row, while the loss drops Central Illinois to 6-9 on the season.

Amanda Lodge and Gabriela Jaimes scored for the Titans and Courtney Hueston added an assist. Illinois Central got their lone goal on a penalty kick in the 38th minute of the 2nd half.

BCC will play its final home game of the season under coach Jeff Carr at 11 a.m. Sunday against Middle Georgia College at Max K. Rodes Park in West Melbourne.

Remaining games on BCC’s regular-season schedule include road matches against Dakota County Technical College of Minnesota on Oct. 20 at Polk; against Polk State on Oct. 23; and against conference and regional foe Broward College on Oct. 26.

BCC will travel to Mississippi on Nov. 3 for the district final to play for a spot in the NJCAA national tournament from Nov. 11 to 17 at Melbourne Central Catholic High School.
