Each Brevard County Fire Rescue fire station will be open to the public from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue Lt. Jeff Taylor.

This year’s National Fire Prevention Week safety message is “Have 2 Ways Out!” and focuses on the importance of fire escape planning and practice.

Taylor said that during the open houses, the public will have an opportunity to create an escape plan for their home, tour their local BCFR fire/EMS station, get an up-close look at apparatus and equipment and meet the crews that serve their community.

For the location of your local station or for additional information, please call Brevard County Fire Rescue’s Fire Prevention Bureau at 321-633-2056 or visit www.brevardfire.com.
