BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND – The Space Coast Oktoberfest Street Party in Cocoa Village, brought to you by Brevard Productions for many years, has been relocated to a larger location in the heart of Merritt Island.

The Space Coast Oktoberfest Street Party begins at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Dogs R Us Shopping Center on State Road 520 on Merritt Island.

Tickets for admission are $10 and kids under 12 are FREE.

Admission includes the entertainment on two stages, strolling entertainment and entry into any of the contests.

Park and Ride from the Merritt Square Mall (next to JC Penneys) from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.  

There will be two stages with live bands, German  beer, live radio remotes, fun family games, the Miss Oktoberfest Pageant and authentic German food.

The favorite band of last year’s Oktoberfest, Heir Dan and Mz Suzan will once again bring their fun and highly entertaining German show to the Oktoberfest.

Heir Dan and Mz Suzan play a combination of authentic German party songs, favorite German hits and popular DJ music from today’s hits.

Get ready to have a German DJ Dance Party with the best party entertainers Heir Dan and Mz Suzan at the Merritt Island Oktoberfest.

Bring Your Own Favorite Stein and We Will Fill It For You 

Dust off your favorite stein and bring it to your Space Coast Oktoberfest. The frauliens will gladly fill it for you with your choice of brew.

Bubba Whoopas Wilson

For all the fans of Real Radio 104.1FM Monsters of the Midday, one of Central Florida’s favorite son’s Bubba Whoopas Wilson  (BurtWilson.com)   and his band will perform from 8pm-12pm. Bubba will play all his favorite songs and is sure to be a huge hit with all the guests at Oktoberfest.

Miss Oktoberfest Pageant

This year’s Miss Space Coast Oktoberfest Pageant will be held at 10 p.m. at the Miller/Coors/Warsteiner Stage outside of the Dogs ‘R Us in Merritt Island.

The contest is open to women at least 18 years of age with a valid photo ID.

The contestants will be judged for attractiveness, quality of their Oktoberfest costume, warm and friendly attitude, posture and the ability to convey the true spirit of the Merritt Island Oktoberfest in a positive way.

The winner will be crowned Miss Oktoberfest 2012 and will receive a tiara and $200 cash prize money.

The 1st Runner Up will receive $100 cash and the 2nd Place Runner Up gets a $50 bar tab.

Great Food Prepared Fresh By German Chefs

Authentic German food will be one of the highlights of Oktoberfest including bratwurst and sauerkraut, soft pretzels, candied apples and potato bread dumplings. The food will be prepared fresh by German chefs at Dogs R Us.

High-Quality German Steins & Brews

Beer will be flowing at Oktoberfest courtesy of FDC, who have a good variety of delicious domestic and imported high-quality brews  for this event.

Yodeling Competition

Like to yodel? Show off your skills by participating in this year’s yodeling competition at the Space Coast Oktoberfest in Merritt Island on Saturday.

The event starts at 7 p.m. at the Miller Coors/Warsteiner Stage.
