Poll: Which Squad Will Go Farthest In State Football Playoffs?

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – It’s been a surprising year for prep football on the Space Coast with a few unexpected teams in contention for post-season playoff games and some perennial favorites fighting for their playoff lives.

As district races tighten and matchups become clearer for state quarterfinal contests, time grows short in the regular season for some teams to secure berths in the annual FHSAA post-season extravaganza.

So in a fun poll and informal, we’d like to know which team you think will make the deepest run for a state championship when the regular season ends.

District tiebreakers (if necessary) will be played Monday, Nov. 5.

The FHSAA regional tournament quarterfinals for Classes 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A will be played Friday, Nov. 9, followed on Nov. 16 with the regional semifinals. The regional finals for Classes 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A will be Nov. 23 and the state semifinals will be Nov. 30.  State championship games for Classes 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A will be Dec. 7 and 8 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

Classses 5A, 6A, 7A and 8A regional quarterfinals will be Nov. 16, followed on Nov. 23 by the regional semifinals. The regional finals for Classes 5A, 6A, 7A and 8A will be Nov. 30 and the state semifinals on Dec.  8.  State championship games for Classes 5A, 6A, 7A and 8A will be Dec. 14 and 15 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.
