Deputies Locate Missing Titusville Resident

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Sheriff’s investigators are not saying much,  but the search for a Titusville resident missing for the past week is over.

Brevard County Sheriff’s Department public information officer Major Vic DeSantis said Sherman Dee Chapman, 50, who as last seen about 1:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at his residence on Oklahoma Street in Titusville, was found alive Friday.

DeSantis said Chapman has been described as suffering from health issues that impair his cognitive abilities.

At the time he disappeared, it was unknown if he left his residence with his medication.

DeSantis said he also behind both his wallet and his cell phone.

“The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is able to confirm that Sherman Dee Chapman has been located,” DeSantis said. “Mr. Chapman is in good health and is safe.  We cannot provide any additional information.”

A full-scale search for Chapman was launched Tuesday by Brevard County Sheriff’s Department agents.
