Barry Downs Florida Tech In Volleyball

Panthers See 2-0 Lead Evaporate
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Barry University rebounded from a 2-0 deficit to Florida Tech by winning the last three sets in the Panthers’ final home volleyball game of the regular season Saturday evening at Palm Bay High School.

Set scores were 21-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-17 and 15-9.
Barry is now 14-11 overall and 6-6 in Sunshine State Conference games. Florida Tech fall to 15-9 overall and 5-7 in conference play.
Leading FIT in kills was Caitlyn Ballweber with 14. Kaitlin Brennan and Janice Valies had 13 kills each.
Alexis Mastela had 49 of Florida Tech’s 56 assists. Angie Lassman paced the team with 16 digs. Mastela had 13 and Kim Juriga chipped in 12.
The Panthers will now finish the regular season on the road.
They will travel to Palm Beach Atlantic on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. match before closing out the year with four straight Sunshine State Conference games.
