Pee Wees Take On Port Orange

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – It’s down to crunch time for the Merritt Island Pop Warner Mustangs.

Merritt Island’s Pee Wees squad meets the Port Orange Hawks at noon Saturday in New Smyrna Beach for the East Coast Conference Pop Warner Pee Wees division championship.

Helping prepare players for the game this week were members of the Merritt Island Pop Warner Pee Wees coaching staff.

The team’s head coach is Derek “DP” Peterson.

Assistant coaches include Danny Silvea, Jay Beardall, Chad Nigh, Dennis Daniels, Mike Demorat, Randall Rigdon and Marcus Guilford.
